One Room Challenge Week 6 // Kid's Bath Accessories
It’s week 6 of the One Room Challenge. I am rounding the home stretch over here on our kid’s bath reno and talking about kid’s bath accessories. Check out all the posts, starting with Week 1 where we introduced the terrible, stuck in the 80s bathroom, Week 2 I talked about subway tile layouts, Week 3 I took you lighting shopping, and for Week 4/5 I gave you the low down on hiring a contractor for my first time ever!
This week I patched and sanded and patched and sanded, then painted! I pressed “restart” on the light blue with a fresh coat of my favorite white Polar Bear by Behr. I am so excited to have a classic, blank slate to start from, then I am so excited to add a major jolt of color!
I’ve been wanting to do a round up of places to shop for a bathmat for quite some time. This week I finally got around to it. For a kids bath I need a true bath mat, something washable, with the non-slip grips, that can take a beating, get wet and is also comfy enough to kneel on to give the kids a bath. I rounded up 12 super fun and playful mats that would be perfect in a kid’s bath. Then I took it a step further and found you some complimentary shower curtains.

Here is where we are as of yesterday. Tile is 95% done, just the trim work left. Paint is done, next up vanity goes in!
Don’t forget to check out all the the other fabulous ORC participants.

We made it! Another One Room Challenge in the books! I am just so happy with how this bright and modern kids bath turned out! Started from a dated 80’s bathroom with a blue formica countertop and carpet and gave her a major glow-up in the form of a complete renovation. Now - classic selections with a special layer to make it a happy, updated space for my kiddos.
