Michelle + Steve Intimate Backyard Wedding
I am lucky enough to call Michelle Adams not only a client, but also a dear friend. Michelle and I went to Michigan State together and then moved to New York along side each other. She went on to start several companies, serve as the Editor-in-chief of Domino Magazine and eventually follow her heart back to Michigan. Through it all, she has been one of my biggest inspirations, for her impeccable style, crazy work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. It was an honor to be asked and to serve Michelle and Steve on their perfect wedding day.
Being that Michelle is a long-time friend, I was able to witness her love story with Steve. It’s been a joy to watch them find each other and build the beautiful home they share and got married at. On a lovely day in September, just off the shores of Lake Michigan Steve and Michelle invited their immediate family to celebrate their love at their newly renovated home. They had just moved in weeks before!
Michelle looked effortlessly elegant in Maria Cornejo. Viavi Flower Farm added the icing to the already perfect backdrop by way of wine-toned happy autumnal blooms. Michelle designed the tablescapes using a combo of beautiful dishware from her collection and vintage flatware from Pairadocs Rentals, while Fringe Events provided the chairs.
The Farmhouse Deli provided the most delicious meal and dessert. And Amy Carroll & Marta Perez captured the day so perfectly. Michelle and Steve I could not be happier for the two of you!!

It was my dream to return to Cinque Terre, a place we fell in love with on our Italian Honeymoon back in 2012, to renew our vows. I wanted to bring our whole family on an Italian adventure to celebrate this milestone. We booked Luca Vieri to photograph the celebration. My boys walked me down the aisle carrying bouquet I clip from the side of the road. My husband and I shared heartfelt notes to each outer, over looking the sea, before heading down to Monterosso Al Mare for photos and dinner. The day was truly magical!
